Moyes plans bid for Kroos

David Moyes and Manchester United are ready to bid £25 million for Germany and Bayern Munich midfielder Toni Kroos. Moyes travelled to Germany last Friday to watch Kroos in action for Bayern, and is now ready to make an officical bid. They are ready to talk contracts with Kroos, who is currently only on half the wage that United star Wayne Rooney is on at Old Trafford, at £150,000 per week, and compared with the £300,000 that United are ready to offer Rooney to stay, this figure seems significantly small. Kroos is ready to listen to offers from United since his wage is also significantly lower than other stars at Bayern Munich, like Bastian Schweinsteiger and Philip Lahm.

Even after the signing of Juan Mata last week, it is clear that United’s midfield still needs improvement, and Moyes will be encouraged to make a move for the playmaker with such little wage demands. United need to act fast though, with the transfer window shutting in a matter of days.
