United are reportedly set to secure a hugh kit sponsorship deal with Nike which could land them as much as $1bn, according to the Daily Express.

The current champions will see out their deal with Nike, which ends in 2015, and the new contract is set to land the Old Trafford side around $1.1b (ÂŁ700m) over the course of a decade long deal.

The money gained will be hugely important to manager David Moyes as he looks to strengthen his squad, and he is willing to invest in two Bundesliga stars: Toni Kroos and Thomas Muller. The Bayern pair will cost an impressive amount so the money gained from the deal could be vital to the club.

Kroos has been in talks with Bayern regarding wages and the club are apparently not happy with the money he has been demanding. This could see an exit to Kroos as he has also been heavily linked with the Manchester side over the January transfer period.

Muller, on the other hand, will be more difficult for Moyes to land because he is a pivital part of Bayern’s attack and Guardiola feels he plays a very important role in the squad.

The two players would doubtlessly liven up United’s squad, which is in need of re-energising as they have 9 goals and 10 assists between them in the league this season.
