Chelsea Ready to Offload Multiple Stars in January Transfer Window

It’s difficult to keep everyone pleased with their playing time, even though Chelsea doesn’t currently lack ability. The players that fit into Enzo Maresca’s system and those that don’t have already been determined. Furthermore, he already knows his best starting lineup and those in its vicinity, so those who haven’t been able to make an impression during this time have a significant probability of leaving through this window.

With one of the largest teams in the Premier League right now, Chelsea may not have all of the players they have on their roster come February.

Cesare Casadei

He was subsequently loaned to Leicester City for the previous season, where he played under Enzo Maresca, the current Chelsea manager; however, he only played a supporting role for the Foxes. Even though he played in 22 Championship games, he only played 875 minutes.

It was evident from that that Casadei is not the kind of player Maresca would desire, and this season’s five UECL appearances only serve to emphasize that. Teams like Torino and Napoli have expressed interest in bringing the midfield player back to Italy this month, and it appears that he will undoubtedly return to his native country.

Carney Chukwuemenka

Early in his Chelsea career, the now-21-year-old midfielder had to contend with fierce competition for spots, and subsequent injuries severely impeded his development. His 23 league appearances for the team have primarily been infrequent cameos off the bench. But like Casadei, he hasn’t played much more than two hours of football this season and isn’t part of Maresca’s plans.

He was expected to have departed the team in the summer, but he failed to attract any suitors and is still being linked to a departure. A loan seems more plausible during this window because Chelsea wants to quadruple their investment and thinks he has a high ceiling.

Axel Disasi

The scenario of Axel Disasi differs slightly from the two names listed above because the French defender has made a number of appearances for the Blues this season. However, the reason for that has baffled every Chelsea supporter. The 26-year-old has a history of making mistakes on the field, and the most recent one lost the team their second goal in their victory over Chelsea.

While leading the team in the UEFA Conference League and making 15 appearances overall, Disasi is apparently being pursued by the club in an attempt to make money. Due to his constant tendency to make mistakes, Disasi, who was signed from Monaco in the summer of last year, never felt like he was on Chelsea’s level. Maresca appears to have reached the end of his patience with the player, and Chelsea ought to try to let him go from the team as soon as possible.

Kieran Dewsbury Hall

In order to help reproduce Maresca’s career transformation at the King Power Stadium in the Premier League, Dewsbury Hall was brought in. Reports now state that the club is open to considering offers for him nonetheless. The transfer to Chelsea has been a total bust, with Dewsbury Hall not receiving regular minutes. Only five league appearances and a pitiful 55 minutes of Premier League action have been played by the English midfielder.

He has scored twice and provided an assist in the UEFA Conference League this season, with the remaining 15 games coming in cup competitions. Dewsbury Hall will have a tough time at Chelsea, as Maresca has frequently stated in conferences, but it now appears that he may depart the team six months after coming.

Christopher Nkunku

The most prominent player on the list and one of Chelsea’s biggest stars right now, Christopher Nkunku, may be permitted to quit the team if the Frenchman so chooses. Since late November, there have been rumors that the Frenchman feels dissatisfied with his playing time this season. With 12 goals and four assists in 27 games this season, Nkunku is Chelsea’s highest scorer right now, but he is unquestionably the team’s alternate option.

Cole Palmer’s position on the team is untouchable, but Nicholas Jackson is ahead of him at number nine. Since neither player was in danger of being cut, Nkunku was compelled to take on a supporting role in the team this season. Although he has made 18 league appearances so far this season, he has played fewer than 400 minutes, and only three of those appearances have been starts. As a talented player, Nkunku would start for any team vying for a spot in Europe, and he is free to depart this month if he so chooses.
