Lyon striker Nabil Fekir has spoken out about the possibility of a summer move to Arsenal, but warns that he won’t leave just to sit on the bench.

21-year-old forward Fekir is rumoured to be heading to the Emirates Stadium as part of a ÂŁ50m double move along with Bayer Leverkusen stopper Bernd Leno.

He told L’Equipe: “I want to enter into the great stadium (Lyon’s new one, currently under construction). I feel good in this team, we are good together.

“And if we qualify for the Champions League, that will be another good reason for me to stay.

“Arsenal’s bench? No thank you! We will see. I don’t want to leave too early and to end up on the bench.

“I am a fighter and I like to play, I am not hap py when I do not play.

“It is only my first season at the top level, at Arsenal, with the big players that they have, it would be complicated to play in their place, perhaps. But you never know.”

French-Algerian Fekir had nine goals from his first twenty Ligue 1 games for the club.
