Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita has revealed he is adapting well to the Premier League. The 23 year old was one of the two midfielders arrived at Anfield this summer with the other being Fabinho.
Keita has been handed the iconic number 8 jersey which Steven Gerrard used to wear at the club. The Guinea international started the first three games and had a substitute appearance in the last match against Leicester City.
Liverpool so far have had a positive start to the new season winning all of their four games and Keita has been pretty influential in as he pulled the strings in the middle of the pitch.
The pressure of carrying the weight of the shirt has been huge but the player is very eager to prove his mettle in this league. “I think it’s fair to say that the Premier League is a tough league.
“I’m very motivated to be playing in it – it’s an attractive proposition – but I’ve been told by many people that a lot of overseas players come into the Premier League and they take time to integrate, depending on the circumstances.
So playing in the Premier League can be difficult, but I am very motivated to play here, not just for myself and my teammates, but for the club.
“Everybody around me has been very supportive towards me so I am certainly giving everything I can to get settled into the team quickly.”
