The Portuguese winger returns to play for Sporting Lisbon

After spending last season on loan at Lazio in Italy, Nani has finally moved back to Portuguese club Sporting Lisbon for the 3rd time. The winger has joined the Portuguese side on a 2-years contract.However the fee is yet to be disclosed.

In his previous 2-spell with the Sporting Lisbon, Nani has represented the side in 113 games and was recorded 23 times on the scoring sheet.

Nani was also a part of English side, Manchester United for 8-long-years. He was signed by United from Sporting Lisbon on a transfer fee of €25.5 million. He signed a five-year contract one month later, joining Portuguese compatriot Cristiano Ronaldo.

Nani scored on his debut in a pre-season friendly against Shenzhen in a 6-0 win for the Red Devils. In August 2007, Nani made a competitive debut for United as a substitute against Chelsea in a community shield match which the Blues lost 3-0 on penalties.

Nani made his Premier League debut came in United’s opening match at home against Reading as a substitute for Wayne Rooney, who had suffered a foot injury. He represented the Red Devils for 230 matches and was 40 times on the scoring sheet.

Nani returned to Sporting Lisbon for the second time on a season loan playing 37 games for the side before moving to Fenerbhace. He was a part of the Turkish side for 47 games scoring 12 goals then moving on to Spanish Side Valencia on a three-year deal and an undisclosed fee reported at £7.2 million.

Nani still has a contract at Valencia until June 2019, was  also linked with a return to play for former club Fenerbahce in Turkey. But the player has now officially joined Sporting Lisbon
