Serie A giants keen on landing Liverpool striker
Napoli are interested in signing Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge, according to reports.
Sturridge has had a mixed career at Anfield, with injuries restricting his impact on the Merseyside club, but when he has been able to play, he’s been one of their star players for the past few seasons.
Since arriving back in 2013, the injury-prone striker has only managed 79 appearances, but in that time, he’s managed to score himself 46 goals.
According to reports in Italy, Napoli are considering a shock move for Sturridge with growing fears that Gonzalo Higuain could leave the club.
Higuain Replacement
Higuain has been heavily linked with a move away from Napoli in recent months, with the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United all linked with signing the Argentine.
If Higuain does leave the club, the Italian side could look to Sturridge as a potential replacement, with the England international reportedly interested in starting a new chapter in his career.
Sturridge is not impressed with how public Liverpool are regarding his fitness issues and injury problems, and reports earlier in the season claimed he wanted to start afresh.
It’s claimed that Napoli could launch a bid worth around £20million.
