Italian side Napoli are reportedly interested in signing Manchester City flop Javi Garcia and they could make a bid for the Spaniard once the January transfer window opens up in the new year.
According to reports in Italy, Benitez is on the look out for a holding-midfielder to help bolster up his Napoli side, and his attentions have turned to the Premier League with Garcia topping his list due to the lack of game-time he gets at the Etihad Stadium.
The likes of Yaya Toure and Fernandinho have kept Garcia out of the starting XI nearly all season and despite saying earlier this month that he wants to stay and fight for his place at City, he may be tempted by the interest of the Italian side.
The 26-year-old cost City £17million last Summer when they signed him from Portuguese side Benfica, but he has only had five Premier League starts so far this season.
