Full-back could struggle for game-time this season
Napoli and Roma are both reportedly interested in signing Manchester United full-back Matteo Darmian.
Darmian signed for United last summer from Torino, but failed to impress with his performances, and now Jose Mourinho is in charge, it’s thought that he may struggle for game-time this season.
The 26-year-old recently stated his intention to fight for his place at United but he failed to earn a spot in the match-day squad for either the FA Community Shield win over Leicester or Sunday’s 3-1 victory over Bournemouth in their opening Premier League fixture.
The Italian international has fallen behind Antonio Valencia in the pecking order under Jose Mourinho, while young Timothy Fosu-Mensah is also an option at right-back.
The 18-year-old Dutchman is reportedly close to signing a contract extension at United after breaking through last season.
