Spanish champs want defender in January
Barcelona are eyeing a shock move for Liverpool right-back Nathaniel Clyne in January.
It’s thought the Catalan giants want to bring the Liverpool right-back to the Nou Camp and have identified him as the number one target to replace Dani Alves in January.
Barca have also been bizarrely linked with Glen Johnson over the last few days, but Clyne’s age (25) and pace make him preferred option for the Spanish champions.
Sergi Roberto and Aleix Vidal have been the men used by Luis Enrique to plug the gap this season.
But the Barca boss remains unconvinced by either and is looking at bringing in Clyne as his new first-choice right-back.
Clyne has impressed since his £12.5million move to Liverpool from Southampton in summer 2015, and will be on the teamsheet again on Saturday as the team travel to Crystal Palace, looking to go their 11th game unbeaten.
