Gary Neville and Roy Keane have raised question over Jose Mourinho leaving Paul Pogba on the bench during the Liverpool match.

The Red Devils faced a thrashing at the hands of their arch-rivals as the Reds defeated them by 3-1.

Former Manchester United captains Gary Neville and Roy Keane have questioned the exclusion of Paul Pogba from the Manchester United side in their match against Liverpool. Both the Manchester United legends have thrashed Jose Mourinho for his side’s dismal outing against the Reds at Anfield as they lost the match by 3-1.

Gary Neville said, “I can’t get over United’s central midfield. If you’re Paul Pogba watching [Nemanja] Matic, [Ander] Herrera, [Marouane] Fellaini, Fred, who played the other night … not one of them can pass a football.”

He added, “None of them can actually receive the ball and pass the ball. I just find it absolutely staggering. I thought United were awful today…. It’s not good enough.”

Roy Keane also lamented on the decision to leave the French World Cup winner on the bench in such an important match and said that he might not have a long-term future at the club. He said, “If he’s sitting on the bench and not getting on, you’re thinking his days must be numbered. I don’t think they’ll do anything in January but, come the summer, you move him on.”

Regarding the mood at the club, he said, “Looking at Mourinho on a match day, I’d love to know what the atmosphere is like at the training ground,” He added, “Is it a happy camp? Because seeing the players’ body language, I don’t get the impression they enjoy playing for Man United. Some of them look disinterested. Is that coming from the manager?”
