Arsenal assistant manager, Steve Bould, hailed Gervinho’s performance during their 3-1 Champions League win last night against Olympiakos and then added that he could be the new Thierry Henry.
After a tough first year at Arsenal, the Ivoary Coast international, has started very well this season already scoring five goals, which is already one more than what he got ina ll of last year. After giving his side the lead last night, he then assisted Lukas Podolski for Arsenal’s second.
Bould said: ‘He’s scoring goals. His confidence is sky-high and his link play is improving. He’s set up Santi (Cazorla) a few times over the last few games and he’s a danger with his pace and movement. If he gets anywhere near Thierry Henry we’ll take that all day long.’
Goal from Gervinho, Podolski and Ramsey saw Arsenal win their second game in the Champions League which sees them top their table with maximum points.
