Defender undergoes medical and accepts personal terms
Anderlecht defender Chancel Mbemba has agreed personal terms with Newcastle United and has passed his medical at the club.
The 20-year-old centre-back, who had been at Anderlecht since 2012, will now have to obtain a correct visa before officially completing his move to the Premier League side.
During his three years in Belgium, Mbemba made 63 league appearances for his former-club, scoring six goals.
Work Permit Needed
Newcastle officially submitted for the correct visa on the 22nd July, but won’t hear back from them until later this month.
They are expected to hear more in three days time in regards to Mbemba’s availability to stay in the country.
It’s not yet understood how much The Magpies will be paying for the 20-year-old.
