Paul Dummett who plays for Newcastle has been blamed for the injury which may rule Luis Suarez out of the World Cup.

He has received death threats through twitter for the challenge he made on Suarez in Liverpool’s 2-1 victory over Newcastle at Anfield, he received a red card for this tackle but the card was later rescinded.

Although nor Suarez or Liverpool reported he picked up an injury  from the tackle the Uruguay camp claim that Suarez had started to complain of discomfort in his knee at the start of their training camp.

It is reported that Luis Suarez who scored 31 goals this season in the Premier League may miss the first match of the World Cup against Costa Rica on the 14th June but they will be hoping he is fit for the England game on the 19th June.

Suarez has had corrective surgery on Wednesday which Uruguay hope may speed up his recovery.
