Newcastle United are set to offer midfield star Ben Arfa a new four year deal worth £80,000 a week, that’s currently double his wage according to reports.
The 26 year old has been strongly linked with a move away from Newcastle, with a move to Liverpool strongly linked and many other European clubs appear interested for the French international’s signature.
Newcastle are keen on trying to keep the former Marseille player at the club as a move away would seem likely in the January transfer window. Newcastle are ready to offer double Ben Arfa’s current wage to keep him at St James’ Park.
The new contract offer was reportedly offered to Ben Arfa’s agent on Monday, it is reported that a bonus package on top of his doubled wage.
Ben Arfa joined Newcastle United on loan from Marseille in 2010 and finally made the move permanent in 2011. The Midfielder has made 52 appearances scoring 11 goals but has been quite injury plagued.
