Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner believes his future will be playing for either Real Madrid or FC Barcelona.

The ambitious centre-forward is desperate to leave the Emirates Stadium after spending eight years at the North London club without making a serious impact under Arsene Wenger.

For the last two seasons, the Dane has been sent out on loan to Sunderland and Juventus respectively, but both loan moves were unsuccessful and he was forced to return to London.

With a move close this Summer, it was then Wenger who cancelled any chance of a transfer due to him unable to sign a replacement.

This meants that Bendtner had to stay on at Arsenal, which is something he wasn’t pleased about, and when asked about whether money motivates him, the striker said not at all.

‘I do not,’ Bendtner replied.  ‘It is the sport that is the most important. I’m going somewhere where I know I can be happy to play. With a team where I can score goals and preferably to win something.

‘I do not want to sit on the bench and staring. I love playing lots of games.’

Then when asked about his future, Bendtner revealed his ambitious plans for the future.

‘How do you envisage to continue your career?’. Asked a reporter.

‘Real Madrid or Barcelona,’. Bendtner responded.
