Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp has revealed that he is unaware of a possible deal between themselves and Newcastle United regarding the future of striker Loic Remy.

The Frenchman is currently on-loan at the Premier League club, despite rejecting them last season in order to join Redknapp’s side and after impressing in his first few games at St James Park, Alan Pardew is desperate to secure him permanently.

Despite some reports suggesting that a deal could be in place, Redknapp has confirmed that he knows nothing about a potential deal.

“I don’t know what the deal is. I don’t know what the chairman Tony Fernandes or (chief executive) Philip Beard have agreed.

“I don’t know whether there’s a fee agreed or not.

“He’s certainly playing well for them. I said last season that he’s a 10 to 15-goal a season man.”
