Arsene Wenger has insisted that Theo Walcott will not be sold in January even if he hasn’t signed a contract extension by then.

The risk of not selling the England international in January means they could face losing him for free in the summer.

Walcott, 23, is still yet to put pen to paper on a contract extension which has led to numerous rumours that he could be leaving the North London side.

Contract talks between the club and Theo’s representitives have stalled and don’t look like being sorted out for a while yet, but manager, Arsene Wenger, has confirmed that he will not be leaving Arsenal in January no matter what.

The England international rejected a contract worth 75k-a-week in the summer, but has insisted that it’s because he wants to be promised a centre forward role at the club.

Walcott has been in superb form for Arsenal as of late, scoring nine goals from 17 appearances.
