Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde has said that there is no lack of motivation in the Barcelona ranks after the Blaugrana were held by Valencia at home in a 2-2 draw. Lionel Messi scored in either half to rescue a point for his side after Kevin Gameiro and Daniel Parejo gave Valencia a two-goal lead in the first half.
Speaking to the media after the match, the Spanish gaffer denied that there is any lack of motivation in the Barcelona ranks. He said, “When you don’t win, you think you are missing something. When you are trying to win every game you can always miss some points. Valencia could think they lost two points from a game they were winning by 2-0.
He added, “We know the season is long and in some chances it will be games where you can fight back and take the three points, and other games where it won’t be possible because you are facing a team who is playing good and took their chances. We have to admit that. That’s football.”
