Former-Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed in an interview that he will never return to management again.
The longest-serving manager of all-time in England retired from the game earlier this year after helping guide United to their 21st league title and was questioned whether or not he would ever make a dramatic return to the game.
However, any possible chance of that happening has been dismissed by the man himself, who says he has moved on now and is enjoying a new chapter in his life.
“I’m not interested in managing again, getting myself worked up,” Ferguson said. “United are in good hands. David will be fine. He’s a good manager.”
“I made my decision. The timing was perfect. There is no way back for me now. I’ve got a new life.
“I want to go to the Kentucky Derby and the US Masters, the Melbourne Cup. I want to visit vineyards in Tuscany and France.”
