No title talk yet, says Ozil

Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil believes it is too early to start talking about winning the Premier League, despite them sitting top.

The Gunners have had an impressive start to the season, winning five out of their opening seven games of the season, including a 1-0 victory over North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

Sunday’s draw to West Bromwich Albion was the first time in 10-matches that the club failed to win, but it was enough to take them top of the table going into the international break.

Despite the positive start, Ozil believes title-talk now is ludicrous.

“I am delighted we top the table, but we also know that the season is still very long.

“To talk about winning the league (now) would be too early. The current table is nothing more than a snapshot.

“We will continue to play every game with our full concentration, we will try to get better as a team. If we can do that, we have a great chance to achieve a lot.

“For me the Premier League is the strongest league in the world.

“Every match is a challenge and the games are very intense. I believe I can profit from that.”
