Norwich City star launches attack on club

Norwich City midfielder Wesley Hoolahan has launched a scathing attack on the club after they rejected his transfer request earlier this month.

The Irish midfielder made it clear that he wanted to leave Carrow Road this month in order to join Aston Villa so that  he could work with Paul Lambert once again, but his request was declined by The Canaries.

Villa then made a formal bid for the midfielder which was also turned down, and now it is believed that Hoolahan has slated the club to a TV reporter and claimed that the club is a ‘f*****g s**t club’.

The midfielder was asked if he would be clearing out his locker today ahead of a possible move, and he replied with: ‘I hope so, this is a f*****g s**t club’.

Reporters then made the situation known to Chris Hughton, and he had this to say on the matter:

‘What you are telling me is news to me. It is not something I am aware of and is something I will have to investigate,’ said Hughton.

‘What I have always been able to do is front the media on something I have knowledge of and can speak of in an appropriate and correct way.’

Hughton added: ‘We know it is an unsettling time for players in that situation (out of the team), but it won’t be the first or the last time you have to deal with situations like that, and it is my responsibility as the manager (to do so).

‘There are always going to be procedures you have at the club, whether a player wants to go or whether the club want to keep that particular player.

‘At this moment, Wes is very much a Norwich player ‘
