Arsenal right back, Bacary Sagna has questioned his sides policy when it comes to transfers and player contracts.
The 29 yeaar old, French international has been speaking about Arsenal and the way they are run when it comes to transfer dealings and contract negotiations. Here is what he had to say;
“I expected Robin’s departure,” Sagna, 29, told French newspaper L’Equipe. “But Alex, that was a surprise. He’s 24 and had three years on his contract. When you see your two best players from last season leave, you ask yourself questions.”
“In the street, supporters sometimes come to see me. I can understand that they’re annoyed. I’m like them – I don’t understand everything,” added Sagna.
Bacary was referring to the recent exits of star men, Robin Van Persie and Alex Song. He also then went on the talk about previous players who have left, Samir Nasri and Gael Clichy:
“In May, I watched Manchester City’s parade on television. I watched Samir and Gael lift the trophy. It makes you want that,” said the France international.
Bacary Sagna’s contract ends in 2014 and when questioned whether he has had any contract extension talks, he simply replied with “No”
