Odegaard likely to join Arsenal or Liverpool if he decides on England move

Martin Odegaard has been backed to join either Arsenal or Liverpool this month, if the player decides on a move to England. Chelsea and Man United had also been interested in the youngster but rules to those two clubs have been ruled out.

The Norweigan has been travelling around Europe to decide where to sign his first pro contract and he has visisted both the Gunners and the Red’s training grounds already and if he does move to the Prem it looks likely that it will be to one of those two clubs. Odegaard and his father are Liverpool fans and that could sway them to make the move to Anfield.

Journalist Marius Skelbaek believes the starlet will sign for one of the two if he decides against a move to another European country.

He said: “I think he is going to be sold this month because his club needs the money and he only has one year left on his contract. I think maybe Bayern Munich and Real Madrid are leading the race to sign him, and the latest rumour is that Martin is going to visit the Dutch talent industry this month, clubs like Ajax.

“Dutch football could suit him right now and a lot of young players from Denmark and Sweden go to clubs like Ajax, Feyenoord or PSV and do great. But it is possible he will move to England. He has been visiting all the big clubs in the Premier League. He is a big Liverpool fan. They are his and his father’s favourite club.

“So who knows? Maybe he could sign for Arsenal, Liverpool, Bayern Munich or Real Madrid.”
