In-form Watford striker puts Louis van Gaal on red-alert

Watford striker Odion Ighalo has admitted he dreams of playing for Manchester United one day.

The 26-year-old is in sensational form for the Hornets, scoring 14 goals in his last 20 games for the Premier League outfit, but he has put the club on red-alert after admitting he dreams of a move to a big club.

Ighalo has been a massive part of Watford‘s success this season, and his partnership with Troy Deeney is going to be crucial in them staying in the top-flight.

However, if his goalscoring form continues, he could be tempted by a move away, in particular if Manchester United come calling.

Speaking about his long-term future, the striker admitted in an interview that he would jump at the chance to join a team like United.

Ighalo Wants United Move

‘I don’t think I will be moving but I’m not sure I’d say no if Manchester United called,’ said Ighalo.

‘They were my team growing up. I loved watching Andy Cole and Dwight Yorke on TV.

‘They were my idols and playing at Old Trafford has always been a dream.’

United are in the need of a new striker with Wayne Rooney misfiring and Anthony Martial being deployed more as a left-winger.
