Arsenal have confirmed the signing of Real Madrid midfielder, Dani Ceballos on a season-long loan.

The 22-year-old was not in Zinedine Zidane’s plans for the upcoming season and therefore, wanted to move out for regular playing time ahead of the European Championship next summer.
Ceballos joins Gabriel Martinelli in the list of Arsenal’s 2019 summer signings with more expected to follow. The Gunners are still negotiating with Celtic for their Scottish fullback, Kieran Tierney and Saint Etienne for William Saliba. Unai Emery has promised the fans that they can hold out for three, maybe even four additions before the window closes on August 7.
Ceballos is definitely an exciting player to watch out for next season as he will solidify the midfield post for the Gunners. The Spaniard stared in the UEFA U21 European Championship and got included in the team of the tournament. He is capable of playing in deep-lying central positions, possibly next to Lucas Torreira as a creative head or even in a more advanced role, like that of a traditional number ten.
Arsenal were definitely hard done by the departure of Aaron Ramsey but Ceballos’ arrival might deafen that blow a certain bit next term. Emery hopefully will now bring in two more defenders to really place the team in an improved spot ahead of the 2019/20 season.
