Ole Gunnar Solskjaer joins Cardiff City

Cardiff City have appointed former-Manchester United striker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as their new manager.

The Norweigen has recently been in charge of Molde, but was with Cardiff owner Vincent Tan for the Arsenal game yesterday and he was shown around the club’s facilities today before agreeing to be their new manager.

It has been an interesting few weeks in Wales for the Premier League outfit and when Malky Mackay was fired last week, much to the annoyance of the fans, it was only a matter of time before Tan hired his successor, and he has gone for a former-Premier League star.

Solskjaer had this to say upon his arrival:

“It’s a fantastic challenge for me. Cardiff City are ready to take the next step up and I hope I can help them.

“I’ve always dreamt of being a manager in the Premier League and I’m delighted to get the opportunity.

“I’m really looking forward to the challenge ahead. I’m going to bring my energy and enthusiasm to the club.”

Chairman Mehmet Dalman had this to say: “There was only one name in my head from the very beginning. We’re delighted to welcome Ole to Cardiff City”
