Ole Solskjaer Deciding What To Do With Jesse Lingard

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will have to make a decision on Jesse Lingard soon.

Manchester United played Liverpool in the FA Cup fourth round on Sunday and Lingard was not even included in the squad.

There has been plenty of speculation relating Lingard’s future at Old Trafford. Solskjaer does not rate the 28-year-old and a move out seemed imminent in January. Sheffield United are said to be interested while Italian outfits are monitoring him as well.

“Jesse trained this morning, he wasn’t in the squad,” Solskjaer said. “So, of course, he wants to play football, we will have to see and I will sit down with Jesse and make a decision on what we’re going to do.

“So far, he’s been the ultimate professional, trained well with a small group this morning that were not in squad. I will sit down and see if anything comes up. I’m very happy to have him around us as I know he could have played today and done well.”

Lingard has hardly played at all over the past year or so. Other than very rare cameos, the Englishman is nowhere to be seen in a Red Devils shirt.
