The forward will not leave on loan or permanently

Brendan Rodgers will not be letting Divock Origi leave Anfield on loan or permanently, according to the Daily Star.

The forward has been linked with a short-term move away from Anfield, due to the fact he is currently behind several strikers in the pecking order at the club.

Norwich interested in a move

Norwich are one of the teams who have been linked with a January move for the youngster but Reds boss Rodgers is keen to keep the 20-year old at Liverpool all season. He said:

“He had his loan period last year. This year is about him coming in and adapting.

“We’ll review where he’s at at the end of the season.”

Origi spent the 2014/15 season on loan at Lille, where he managed to play some valuable first-team football. Since returning to Anfield, he has featured three times and it looks like there could be more action in store for him, with Rodgers refusing to let him leave.
