Liverpool have completed the signing of Origi but the 19 year-old will be loaned back to former side Lille for next season.
Origi arrives at the club after being heavily linked with a move since the World Cup.
And upon completing his transfer during the squad’s pre-season tour of America the youngster said: “I am very, very happy and delighted a club as big as Liverpool showed interest in me. I’m very excited.
“I know it’s a club with a great history, great fans and a lot of great players. For me, Liverpool is one of the greatest clubs in the world and I’m very excited to be part of this great history.”
Origi shone for Belgium during the World Cup, featuring in all of the Red Devils’ games and even scored the winner in a group game against Russia.
