Jose Mourinho has implied Brazilian playmaker Oscar is surplus to requirements at Chelsea, after criticising his performance against Stoke on Saturday.

Oscar was substituted at half time, heightening speculation that a summer move away from Stamford Bridge is very likely.

In the post match conference, the Chelsea manager said: “I don’t think he had a bad performance, I just think he was not good enough, which is a huge difference.”

Some recent reports suggested the 23 year old could be included in a swap deal with Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba.

Oscar has failed to score in his last 12 appearances for the Blues, and hasn’t chalked up an assist for almost three months.
