Out Of Favour Midfielder Hoping To Make A Comeback At Real Madrid

James Rodriguez has unreal optimism surrounding his future at Real Madrid despite being told by Zinedine Zidane to look for a different club over the summer.

The Colombian international spent the last two seasons on loan with Bayern Munich by the Bundesliga giants felt no need to make his signing permanent.

In the process, Rodriguez was left to meddle in constant speculation these past months. He was strongly linked to Atletico Madrid and Napoli but his contract and asking price proved to be far too expensive for both parties.

Eventually, Madrid could find no takers for either James Rodriguez or Gareth Bale and Zidane has been forced to integrate them back into the squad. Rodriguez started his first game for Real on August 27 against Real Valladolid since May 2017. He told El Chiringuito, “I really hope that this can be my season with Real Madrid.”

James is currently recovering from a calf sprain for which he had to withdraw from international duty this week. He is due to return soon as the Galacticos are set to face off against Levante on September 14.

Bayern Munich, in his absence, have signed Philippe Coutinho on loan from Barcelona. The Brazilian is expected to do much better after his underwhelming period with Barcelona.
