Manchester United and Chelsea target Marquinhos will demand a move this summer unless he plays more games, according to his agent.
The 21 year-old Brazilian defender has found himself down the pecking order behind two world-class counterparts; Thiago Silva and David Luiz, prompting a ‘play me or sell me’ reaction from the player.
Marquinhos’ moved to PSG from Roma in 2013 for a fee of around €31.4 million. However, he has not been a regular feature in the PSG squad since the transfer took place, and is now a target of Premier League clubs Manchester United, and more recently Chelsea, as their plans to land Everton centre-back John Stones fell through.
“He is always delighted to be playing but he prefers to play in his position, that means in the centre,” his agent Giuliano Bertulocci told French media outlet L’Equipe.
“He feels really good at Paris and in this team, he wants to stay.
“But if the situation does not change, then he will ask to leave this summer because at the age of 21, you need to think about his football progression.”
