In a recent shirt signing interview Ozil clearly stated he has no intention to leave Real Madrid, the 23 year old centre attacking midfielder has been recently linked with Manchester United and Arsenal but it looks unlikely either team will be grabbing the Germans signature.
Speaking at a shirt signing in Germany Ozil said ”I have a contract until 2016, I feel very good here and get on well with my team mates.”
”For me its an honour to play here with this team”, after a few more questions he confidently stated he wont be leaving Real Madrid. ”There has been a lot of written in the press, they have spoken of interesting options but I have a contract and I am staying at Real Madrid.”
This news will be a big blow to Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger with the transfer window coming to an end in 6 days and them only signing france U21 international Yaya Sanogo on a free, which player will Arsenal turn to next?
