Ozil tells friends about his next destination
Mesut Ozil is being linked to a number of clubs for his next destination after Arsenal, but the German playmaker has reportedly told his friends where he wants to head next year.
The 29-year-old has been linked to bigwigs like Manchester United and Barcelona, but the Arsenal player seems to be eyeing a reunion with Jose Mourinho at the Old Trafford.
According to a report in the Daily Mail, he has told his close friends that he prefers a move to Manchester United. He will be a free agent from January 1, and can get into talks with other clubs.
During his time at Real Madrid, Ozil worked under Mourinho, and seems keen on rekindling the association after having turned down a new Arsenal contract worth £235,000-a-week.
While Wenger hopes he stays at the club, United are interested in acquiring his services with the midfield potentially weakening with the reported departure of Henrikh Mkitharyan. Marouane Fellaini also seems to be looking for a new destination.
