Since moving to Barcelona from Valencia in 2016, Paco Alcacer has failed to make an impact and established himself as regular starter for the team. He is often used as substitute or in lesser important games.
The Spanish International had offers in January transfer to leave the club but he wanted to stay. Barcelona also wanted him to stay as they were satisfied with his work and also had a busy schedule.
But Barcelona has been linked with a move for Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann this summer. The Frenchman’s arrival could hamper his chances to feature in the starting line up more and would further reduce his minutes. This had led to speculations that the 24 year old may seek to leave the club.
Barcelona’s Alcacer could be on his way to the Premier League in the summer after several English clubs showed an interest, reports Sport . According to reports, the Spanish giants already have received big offers from Premier League. One of the club is Southampton and even Monaco have shown interest but it would be tough for them to compete financially against English clubs.
Barcelona would let him go only if they receive €30 million, the amount they paid to sign him from Valencia.
