The player has won the Copa Libertadores with River Plate this season.
Argentine ace Exequiel Palacios’ agent Renato Corsi has said that Real Madrid are set to make a formal offer for his client. The player has been in good touch in the current season and played an important role in winning the Copa Libertadores with his current club River Plate in December. The president of the club, Rodolfo D’Onofrio had also said that there has been prolonged interest from the Galacticos to sign the Argentine star.
Corsi said, “The leaders of River got together with Real Madrid in Abu Dhabi.”
He added, “In the coming days there will be a formal offer and the operation is quite advanced. The family, Exequiel and I want him to go in June and Real Madrid don’t have a problem with him staying at River until then. Real Madrid want him and supposedly River will sell. They agree, so between Monday and Tuesday the formal proposal will be presented.”
Real Madrid are facing a tough time in the La Liga this season and are yet to find a suitable option to fill in for their departed talisman Cristiano Ronaldo, who left the club in the summer to move to Juventus.
