According to reports from Sky Sports, Paris Saint Germain have agreed on a fee in the region of £28m for Senegalese midfielder Idrissa Gueye. The personal terms aren’t said to be a problem since both Everton and PSG have agreed on a fee for the 29-year-old.

Idrissa Gueye arrived at Everton in 2016 and became an instant hit at the Goodison Park. The midfielder also shared the Players’ Player of the Year along with Lucas Digne at Everton.

Everton had initially rejected £21.5m bid from PSG for Gueye, citing the need for a replacement to be signed before they could sell him. Now, with the arrival of Fabian Delph from Manchester City, the Toffees have opened the door for the 29-year-old to leave.

Les Parisiens lost Adrien Rabiot on a free transfer to Juventus this summer. Although they signed Ander Herrera on a free transfer from Manchester United, the arrival of Gueye looks imminent.

PSG are currently gearing up to face Inter Milan in a friendly fixture while Everton are set to lock horns with Werder Bremen in a friendly in August.
