PSG have reportedly made a €270 Million bid for Brazilian star Coutinho

The French club has reportedly made an offer worth €270 million for Brazil and Barcelona star Philippe Coutinho. Coutinho is said to be a plan B for the club if Mbappe prefers to join another club in this ongoing summer transfer window. According to reports from Mundo Deportivo,

One year after signing Neymar from Barcelona, PSG is trying to opt for same strategy to bring down Brazilian winger and Neymar’s teammate from Barcelona.

Courtinho joined the Spanish side from Liverpool in the beginning of this year. His transfer fee is reported to be an initial £105 million, which could rise to £142 million with various clauses being met. While in his medical test, Coutinho was diagnosed with a thigh injury which made him wait for 3 week to make his debut for the Spanish side.

Coutinho made his debut for the Spanish club in a Copa del Rey match against RCD Espanyol. Coming in the 68 minute as a substitute for Barcelona Captain, Andres Iniesta. The match resulted in a 2-0 win for the Spanish side. While his first goal came for Barcelona against Valencia FC in a Copa del Rey semi-final match. He has represented the Spanish side in 22 matches and has score on 10 occasions.

Before joining the Spanish side Coutinho was a part of the English side Liverpool for 6 long years. He joined the Reds in January 2013 for an agreed pay of £8.5 million fee. Coutinho made his Liverpool debut on 11 February 2013, replacing Stewart Dawning , but the match resulted in a 2-0 loss against West Bromwich Albion at Anfield.  he scored his first goal for Liverpool on his full debut in a 5–0 victory over Swansea City. He has represented the English side in  201 matches and has scored in 54 matches.

Coutinho’s present contract has a €400 million (£353 million/$470 million) release clause which the French club  is trying to negotiate with help from  former Liverpool midfielder’s agents.

Coutinho’s Brazilian side was thrashed out by the Belgium side in the Quarter-Finals of the World Cup.
