Ligue 1 champions want Chelsea boss as their next manager

Paris Saint-Germain are set to offer Jose Mourinho an escape route from Chelsea after a turbulent few weeks at Stamford Bridge.

Despite beating London rivals Arsenal 2-0 yesterday, the Blues have had a shaky start to the new campaign, winning just two of their opening six matches.

As well as the poor form on the pitch, things aren’t all rosy off it with problems mounting for Mourinho.

The saga with Eva Carneiro doesn’t seem to want to go away, with the FA now investigating comments made by the Portuguese in the direction of the club-doctor.

Mourinho’s relationship with some of his players are also being questioned after he criticised them for their poor start to the new season.

Despite the poor start to their title defence, Mourinho did pen a new four-year deal at Stamford Bridge prior to the season, keeping him there until 2019, and he has made it clear that he wants to stay at the club for a long time.

However, that hasn’t stopped PSG from potentially luring him to Paris.

According to reports, the Ligue 1 champions are happy with Laurent Blanc, but they feel to get to the next level, they need a better manager and Mourinho is top of their list.

PSG’s owners Qatar Sports Investments are desperate to win the Champions League, and after winning it with FC Porto and Inter Milan, Mourinho is the man they want.
