The striker has today confirmed he has completed a move to Stamford Bridge

Alexandre Pato will today undergo a medical ahead of what he described as a ‘dream’ move to Chelsea.

The striker has been linked with several clubs throughout this transfer window and in the last few months too but it is the Blues who seem set to land him on a loan deal. The 26-year old himself seemed more than happy to be making the move to London, as he said: “I’m so happy, it’s my dream. Chelsea is my new home.”

The Brazil star has been looking for a move away from current club Corinthians and initial reports earlier this month suggested a move to Liverpool was on the cards.

Permanent deal could be agreed in summer

The Reds though denied their interest and a move never materialised. It was then Chelsea who entered the picture and after weeks of speculation, he was today spotted arriving in London and Pato himself confirmed a move to the Blues was happening.

The current deal would see him stay at the club only until the end of the season but reports are claiming that there is an agreement in the deal that the Stamford Bridge side can sign him on a permanent basis for ÂŁ8m in the summer. If he impresses at the club, then a permanent deal could certainly happen at the end of the season.
