Manchester United defender Patrice Evra has dropped a bombshell on the club after admitting that it doesn’t bother him if he leaves the club this Summer, and has also stated that he wants to move on eventually due to personal reasons.

There were several reports going around in the transfer window that Evra could leave Old Trafford in order to return to is homeland of France, with mega-rich Paris Saint-Germain interested in signing the 32-year-old.

Over the Summer, United and David Moyes were desperate to land Everton’s Leighton Baines, and this serious pursuit of the Englishman left Evra feeling unwanted and a back-up.

In a recent interview, the Frenchman has now revealed that it doesn’t bother him at all that his contract expires next Summer and he also plans to leave the club for personal reasons at some point.

When questioned if his contract expiring at the end of the season bothers him, Evra answered, “No, not at all.”

He continued, “It’s personal. It’s not Manchester (United) that don’t want me to sign a new contract. This whole thing is personal. Manchester United’s dream is that I finish my career there, but this is something personal.”
