Paul Ince has said that he doesn’t think Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is not the best choice to manage Manchester United.

The former Manchester United striker has started life at Old Trafford in the best possible way with three wins in three matches.

Former Manchester United ace Paul Ince has insisted that the club should have gone with Steve Bruce rather than Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as their new manager after Jose Mourinho was sacked. The Red Devils have won three matches in a row under Solskjaer as they got the better of Bournemouth in their last match of the year by 4-1.

Asked if whether he is happy with his former teammate’s appointment as the new Manchester United manager, Ince said, “Yes and no.”

He added, “Yes in the fact that we were looking for someone that loves the club and knows the club. Is he a good fit? Yes. But I would like to see, and I said this the other day, you’ve got Steve Bruce not working, you’ve got Mark Hughes not working, I know Sparky went to City but Brucey for me was there at the start and knows what it’s all about. He’s a very, very good manager. He’s English and I think he would have been the ideal candidate to take that job.”

He concluded, “Not to say that Ole won’t, I’m not saying that, but I think Brucey should have been the one.”
