The Manchester United legend hit out at the England International during half-time of the clash against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium
The stand-in Blues Skipper seemed to have trouble dealing with with Jamie Vardy.
Speaking on BT Sport during half-time, Scholes was very critical in his analysis of Gary Cahill.
“He’s slow, I don’t think he can turn,” Scholes said.
However, Cahill was vindicated as he was able to contain Jamie Vardy in the second half which enabled Thibaut Courtois to keep his 12th clean sheet in the league this season.
