Chelsea are set to battle fellow Premier League rivals, Arsenal- for the signing of Palermo’s highly-rated forward Paulo Dybala, according to reports in Italy.
The West Londoners have contacted the agent of the 21-year-old forward, who is set to depart Sicily for a move to a top European club.
Dybala has netted 12-times for Palermo in Serie A this-season, form which has seen him become one of the hottest young properties in football.
Arsenal were favourites to land the Argentine, but Sky Italia report that Chelsea are set to weigh in with an offer, to bring Dyabla to Stamford Bridge, as a potential replacement for Didier Drogba.
Officials at Palermo have stated they are willing to sell Dybala for a transfer fee of £28m.
