Pedro NOT moving to Arsenal

27-year-old Spanish forward, Pedro, will NOT be moving to Arsenal despite recent conjecture.

The 5’7″ international is still deemed as an important cog in the Barcelona wheel, irrespective of Luis Saurez at last being eligible to display his silky skills at the Nou Camp.

It has been thought for some time that Pedro would follow Alexis Sanchez to the Emirates, forming a lethal Premiership strike force. This now seems unlikely.

With Barcelona unable to sign any new players until January 2016 following a FIFA transfer ban, they can’t replace any outgoing players. Therefore, Barca boss, Luis Enrique will look to block any move for the World Cup star.

During the tournament in Brazil, Pedro said: ‘I don’t know what’s going to happen yet, I don’t know anything,

‘I’m calm though, I’m at the World Cup and that’s all that matters right now.

‘When a decision has to be made, I’ll speak with the club and we’ll see what happens.

‘Right now I’m only concentrating on the Spain squad and having a good World Cup. Whatever comes in the future, will come.’

Although re-uniting Pedro and Sanchez would have been a ‘finger-licking’ prospect, Arsene Wenger may now have to look elsewhere.
