Chelsea’s summer signing Pedro has admitted that he is struggling to adjust to The Premier League. The former Barcelona player made a great start to his Chelsea career scoring in his first game against West Ham.

The Spaniard joined the Champions for ÂŁ24.7m in summer raising fan expectation of retaining the league. In recent weeks Pedro has been left out, returning in Chelsea’s victory over Aston Villa last weekend.

It’s very different to what I’m used to, from what I came from.

“It’s difficult to come into a team that is not playing well as well. But, little by little, I’m integrating myself more, adapting with my teammates and that’s the most important thing.

“From the first game, the first month you come here, everything is different, very different the football to what I’m used to.

“There are a lot of differences, the football is very physical, very strong. A lot of players attack and it’s always complicated. All the games are very competitive and very balanced.

“The boss wants me to do practically the same as I was doing at my old team – to give attacking depth to the team, try and help out with defensive work as well, and apart from all that to get better with confidence and take the game forward, which is the most important.

“You have to think of the next game, not look at the table. We have to go game by game, step by step, imposing a different atmosphere, imposing our best play, and again having that winning feeling, to help our position and keep going up to where we should be.”

Jose Mourinho will be hoping that the wingers form improves and he doesn’t turn out to be a flop like Falcao.
