Source close to Spaniard admits United fascinates him
Pep Guardiola could be set to become the next Manchester United boss after a source close to him revealed he’s fascinated by the Old Trafford outfit.
The Spaniard has announced he’s leaving Bayern Munich at the end of the season, to be replaced by Carlo Ancelotti, and that has sparked speculation regarding his future, with a trio of Premier League clubs interested.
Both Manchester outfits want him as their next manager, while Chelsea are also desperate to appoint him in the summer following the sacking of Jose Mourinho.
However, a source close to the manager has been speaking about his future, and he’s admitted that Manchester United could be in pole position due to their rich history.
Plans Revealed?
A source said: “Pep always found the club fascinating. He likes clubs with huge tradition and United certainly have this.
“He won’t be short of options when it comes to deciding his next move and Manchester City are an ambitious club. But United could still prove to be the more attractive proposition.”
It’s well documented that both City and Chelsea are desperate to appoint Guardiola ahead of next season, but it seems that United could be the team in the drivers seat.
