Pep Guardiola isn’t concerned after Manchester City’s shocking defeat at the hands of Crystal Palace in the Premier League.

City lost their place at the top following their defeat to Chelsea and it seems the defending champions need to do some hard work on the pitch to recover their lost ground.

It was supposed to be a cakewalk for City given their style of play but Palace started to press hard from the beginning. Illkay Gundogan’s header gave them a deserved lead but City hit back as Jeffrey Schlupp levelled the score just a few minutes later.

An Andros Townsend stunner doubled the lead just after a couple of minutes later. Luka Milivojevic looked to have sealed three points as he scored from the spot but a late strike from Kevin De Bruyne offered City a glimmer of hope.

Guardiola said, “It is better to win but there are a lot of games to play,

“We have to recover mentally and recover our physicality and go to Leicester to win.”

“Imperative is the next game, the problem is when you think about the future and are not in the present. We have Leicester and Southampton away, they are the most important games.”
