Pep Guardiola Not Concerned About UEFA Investigation Regarding FFP Breach

Pep Guardiola has embraced the UEFA investigation over Manchester City’s alleged FFP breach with both hands and is hoping it would end all the ongoing speculation regarding their spending power.

German magazine Der Spiegel accused the English champions of misusing Financial Fair Play regulations through sponsorship deals to avoid punishment. UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin confirmed the development after discussing the matter at the Executive Committee meeting of European football’s governing body.

City had already faced sanctions for their wrongdoing back in 2014 and if proved guilty they are likely to be barred from participating in UEFA competitions.

Despite the concerns, Guardiola seems to be unfazed by the actions and insists he would like to see the investigation reveal the actual things. “UEFA is doing what they are doing. If he has found something, the club will make a statement. And I like to do that because we will know exactly when we are going to finish with these voices.

“So if we did something irregular we will know it, and if we didn’t do something irregular, so the people will finish talking about it. So we are going to wait.

“I trust a lot in my club, in our organisation, so if something is wrong they are going to tell us.”
